Chemistry Program

The program of Chemistry includes one major, Chemistry Education, and two minors.

The Chemistry Education Major is designed for those who wish to become Science, and more specifically Chemistry teachers in middle and high school settings. Students who complete this major successfully can also continue their education in graduate programs, working towards a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Education.

The Chemistry Minor was designed for those who wish to supplement their major degree with a strong foundation of Chemistry.  This minor is recommended to students, who do not major in Biochemistry, but wish to enter a graduate program in the molecular sciences or a professional school such as medical, dental, etc.

The Introduction to Chemistry Minor was designed primarily to fulfill the requirements of the Holokai Curriculum.  The minor introduces the students to the subject of Chemistry, with a strong emphasis on General Chemistry.
