Ingrid Oit-Wiscombe was born and raised in Estonia, has lived in Hungary, and now here in Hawaii. She earned her Master’s Degree in Biomedicine from the University of Tartu, Estonia. She is right now pursuing her Doctorate in Medicine with the University of Tartu, Estonia. Her research is specialized in pulmonary medicine; more precisely she is investigating the enzymatic markers of systemic inflammation and oxidative stress in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She has worked as a Biochemistry seminar and laboratory practical lecturer and as a researcher in University of Tartu, Estonia and junior researcher in University of Debrecen, Hungary.
